4.3 Basic Interface
Recall that the FFTW API is divided into three parts(6): the basic interface computes a single transform of contiguous data, the advanced interface computes transforms of multiple or strided arrays, and the guru interface supports the most general data layouts, multiplicities, and strides. This section describes the the basic interface, which we expect to satisfy the needs of most users.
