NAME

       swupdctl - Software Update Server daemon controller


SYNOPSIS

       swupdctl command


DESCRIPTION

       swupdctl  controls  the  the  Software  Update Server process. Software
       Update Server is required for hosting a local software  update  server.
       For persistent control of this processes, edit the SOFTWAREUPDATESERVER
       key of /etc/hostconfig


OPTIONS

       The command can be any one or more of the following options:

       configtest    Check Software Update Server's  configuration  files  for
                     syntax errors.

       graceful      Restart  Software Update Server with a SIGUSR1 signal, or
                     start it if is not running.

       help          Print a description of swupdctl's command line options.

       restart       If Software Update Server is running, restart it by send-
                     ing a SIGHUP signal. If it is not running, start it.

       start         Start Software Update Server.

       startssl      Start Software Update Server using ssl.

       stop          Stop  Software  Update Server. You will no longer be able
                     to host a local software update server.  Software  Update
                     Server will restart the next time the machine is rebooted
                     unless the SOFTWAREUPDATESERVER value of  /etc/hostconfig
                     is set to -NO-.
